How We’re Managing Tariffs

Team Beet Apr 16 , 2025

News on tariffs is rapidly evolving, and we are monitoring impacts. As changes roll out, we will continue to publish timely updates here.

In light of the recently announced tariffsmany of which are on hold until July— we wanted to let you know that we are committed to maintaining the highest quality of food, while recognizing how economic pressures affect your business.

The good news is that the majority of Baldor’s products will be unaffected by the announced tariffs, thanks in large part to our commitment to sourcing domestically and locally whenever possibleAgricultural goods from Mexico and Canada are not currently subject to tariffs.

We have great relationships with our growers and suppliers, so for imported ingredients that are subject to tariffs, our team is working with these partners to review pricing structures to minimize price impacts as much as possible. While we expect the specialty and meat categories to weather market forces better, the produce market supply chain is highly sensitive to changes in cost, so we expect to see increases on certain imported fruits and vegetables. This situation will also put price pressure on domestic growers owing to increased demand.

That said, we are well-positioned on pricing with partners both within the U.S. and abroadAs we enter peak produce season in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, we’re excited to champion and support the incredible farmers and makers in our area.

Our commitment to our vendors and customers remains unchanged. We’re focused on delivering the best flavor and pricing possible, while continuing to stand by the trusted suppliers we’ve carefully chosen for their commitment to quality and responsible growing practices. We are here to help you find the best solutions as you navigate changing market conditions.
